Location & Hours

When you arrive in Franklin you can check in at Mail Stop Shipping Center located at the south entrance of the Whistle Stop Mall.  Hours of operation are from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday thru Friday, CLOSED on Saturday and Sunday.  If you come outside of those hours you can make arrangements to go directly to the cabins and do a morning check in.    Directions to the Cabins at Big Bear (Fox Den, Bear, Moose, and Whitetail) Big Bear Log Cabins are located behind the Macon County Fairgrounds (across from The Whistle Stop Mall and Zaxby's on 441 S) on Wide Horizon Drive.  Take Wide Horizon Drive east ¼ mile and take the first drive on the right, which is Bruin Ridge Trail.  Follow the signs to the drive up to the cabins.  Directions on how to get to our office in The Whistle Stop Mall are listed further down below. Directions to the Cabins at Carolina Village (Trout, Minnow, Otter, and Tadpole) Our cabins at Carolina Village are 3 1/2 miles south of the Whistle Stop mall on Hwy 441 S.  The actual address is 4968 Hwy 441 S.  Once you arrive there you will turn east on to Carolina Village Circle (see gated entrance) and turn immediately to the right following the gravel drive down to where the cabins are located.

Directions to the Office Directions from Asheville I-40 West Take the 23S/74W Exit (signs mention Sylva/Dillsboro) Take Exit 81 (third Sylva exit), following 23South towards Franklin/Atlanta Straight at light following 23S/441S over the mountain (approx 20 miles). Stay on 23/441 (not Business 441) until the exit for Atlanta Whistle Stop Mall is on 441S at bottom of hill (1/2 mile after exit) on right Approximately 65 miles

Directions from Knoxville, Tennessee   I-40 East Exit 27 off I-40 (23 South) Follow signs thru Waynesville and Sylva Take Exit 81 (third Sylva exit), following 23 South to Dillsboro/Franklin Straight at light following 23S/441S over the mountain (approx 20 miles). Stay on 23/441 (not Business 441) until the exit for Atlanta Whistle Stop Mall is on 441S at bottom of hill (1/2 mile after exit) on right Approximately 130 miles

Directions from Atlanta, Georgia I-85 North I-985 North 23N/441 N Whistle Stop Mall is on 441N the left before you enter the city limits of Franklin Approximately 125 miles

From Greenville, South Carolina I-85 South to Exit 19 (Clemson). Follow 76 West to Clayton, Georgia. Take U.S. 441 North straight to Franklin. Approximately 110 miles.
