How Many Do Your Cabins
Sleep?
Comfortably
up to four can stay in each cabin as there are two rooms
each with a queen bed. For additional sleeping there is a
loft above the kitchen that could sleep 2-3 kids in sleeping
bags and the futon opens into a queen bed. Keep in mind
though, there is only one bathroom and one smaller dining
set, so to sleep more you'll have to get along very well!
If you have larger parties (or are with others who need
their space) the Fox Den house is a perfect solution. It
has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a pullout couch so there is
more room to spread out.
What Do I Need To Bring?
All you need to bring
with you are your toiletries and clothes. We want your stay to be as
relaxing and uncomplicated as possible. Our complimentary items include
coffee pots & filters, hair dryers, iron and ironing board, hand soap and soaps for
dishes and laundry. We also provide linens along with a supply of paper
products, such as paper towels and toilet paper.
Where Can I Get Groceries?
You will find four
different locations available to you within miles from the cabins. There are
three Ingles stores, along with BiLo. There is also a Wal-Mart handy for any forgotten items.
When
is Check In and Out Times?
Regular check- in time
is 4 p.m. and regular check-out time is 11 a.m..
Can We Get a Later
Check-out
Time, and an Earlier Check-In Time?
We try to maintain a
strict check-in and check-out time, so that we may allow adequate cleaning
between guests. However we will try to be as understanding as possible,
especially if there are no guests scheduled directly before or after your
stay.
Weather
We would suggest that
you bring a light jacket year around, just in case. The temperatures
can dip into the high 40’s and 50 ‘s even in summer months. We do not
usually see snow, but that doesn’t mean that the ski resorts around the area
will be without. Just be sure to check our link to the
“The Weather Channel” before packing your bags.
Smoking
Smoking is not
permitted in our cabins.
Phone Service
The cabins do not have phones, however feel free to
come to the office at Mail Stop to make any necessary calls at no
charge.
Is Internet
available?
Yes, wireless internet is on the
location free of charge at Big Bear. The cabins at
Carolina Village do not have internet.
What TV channels are available?
Basic cable
which includes all major networks.
Do you allow pets?
Because the cabins are so new, at this point we do
not allow pets.
Cleaning
We ask that you
clean the units to the condition they were in when you arrived.
